Video Monday: Prayer

I’ve come across so many good videos recently so I thought I would share some of them with you over the next few Mondays! Some of them are worship songs/videos, some of them are sermons or sermon jams you need to hear, and some of them are creative works that will get your synapses firing.

In our second addition of Video Monday, I want to share a video we used at a recent retreat before we entered a time of prayer and reflection. This video is great to help students understand the role that prayer plays in our relationship with God. It also ends with the words “let us pray.” So think about using it next time you are preparing to transition into prayer and reflection.

Just take a watch. Be encouraged.

Video Monday: Good Good Father

The first video I want to share with you is a worship song I can’t get out of my head! What I love  about this song is that it speaks to God’s identity as our Heavenly Father and our identity as a Child of God. It’s called “Good Good Father” by Housefires II.

Videos That Teach

I love seeing students connect the dots. More specifically, I love seeing students grasp grand narratives of Scripture. Remember when you first learned that Jesus was the answer to Adam (sin in/sin out), or that Jesus was the final sacrificial lamb to passover your sins?

While these may be old hat for veteran believers, it’s awesome to see students make the connections! I recently came across this “sermon jam” of a Tim Keller sermon that will help your students make those connections:

We used this as a bumper video and did a whole series entitled: “Jesus the True & Better _______.” How could you work this into a lesson?

Do Something (Part 1)

We recently created some videos to highlight how our students are expanding the kingdom using their time and talents. We showed these videos at our annual Launch Retreat, where we encourage them to reach the local schools for Christ. I pray that these videos would encourage you to equip your students to see their schools as a mission field. Enjoy!
